Frequently Asked Questions

Is my investment insured?

No. Currently, there is no crop insurance available in Trinidad and Tobago. Investors need to be aware that crop investments carry risk of principal losses as with other types of investments.

How do we cater for risks such as fire and flooding?

We protect our crops from fire and flooding risks by cutting fire trails and sectioning of the land, planting on hilly land with proper water run off channels. Additionally, as we own farms across multiple geographies your investment is hedged across multiple harvests on different farms to prevent total losses.

How do we safeguard against pests and disease?

We employ ecological practices such as permaculture which manage and suppress pests and disease while also using eco-friendly treatments.

Can I come to visit the farm? Can I do work on the farm?

You are free to schedule visits to our farms to view your investment at work. You can also get your hands and boots dirty!

How do we secure a reliable labour force?

We work with the experienced farmers and youth in the community through partnerships with NGO's and community support groups. We also have on the job training programs and internships available and employ our trainees upon maturation.

How do we ensure that we get a profitable price for the produce?

We secure agreements of sale for our produce with established companies and farm to table services. These allow us to calculate our returns based on fixed pricing of our harvests.

How do we ensure that there is a market for the produce?

The crops that we advertise for investment are in demand. Generally, they have been requested by our buyer-partners with whom we have purchase agreements in place for the produce upon harvest.

Why do we take a percentage of the profits?

We source the finance, expert labour, and manage the estates undertaking and safeguarding against risks for our clients, landowners, and ourselves.

How does our company treat with inflation and economic risk?

No investment hedges for inflation risk like farming investments while providing economic stability. People will always need to eat! With inflation, the cost of food increases and so will your share of the profits.

Do you do start up financing for farms without farm management services?

No. We manage all investment properties to ensure that we make good on investments for the sake of our investors.
